Definition of D.O.

D.O. stands for Diplôme d'Ostéopathie. Be careful not to confuse this with Docteur en Ostéopathie. Our graduates are not doctors but manual practitioners.


How do I get my diploma?

You need to have graduated from our Montreal or Quebec City campus.

Definition

DO stands for Doctor of Osteopathy.


How to obtain it?

The titles Doctor of Osteopathy and Osteopathic Physician are protected by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and are used by graduates of osteopathic medical schools in the United States. Canadian osteopathic schools are not authorized to issue these titles. The title "Manual Osteopathic Practitioner" is used by osteopathic graduates trained in the English-speaking provinces of Canada. The term "Osteopath" may be used in Quebec.
