Welcome to our Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto

The Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) and its parent institution, College d’Études Osteopathiques  (CEO)—  the Canadian leaders in osteopathic manual practice education  — offers a complete education in osteopathic manual practice. This comprehensive program includes all aspects of myofascial, osteoarticular, visceral, and cranial osteopathy. The program’s greatest strength is its unique clinical methodology, which allows practitioners the ability to individualize and provide treatments that are both effective and efficient.

The CCO’s program, exceeds the World Health Organization’s benchmarks for osteopathic education.

Our program includes

  • A period of 4 years: during which you will learn and practice all of the theoretical and practical material and start clinical training.
  • A period of 1 year: Consolidation year, consisting of comprehensive exams, remainder of clinical training and conduction of the independent research study.
  • You will obtain the D.O.M.P. (Diploma in Osteopathy Manual Practice) and the D.Sc.O. (Diploma in the Science of Osteopathy) upon completion of the thesis. These diplomas will allow you to obtain equivalencies and to work in other Canadian provinces. The D.Sc.O. will also allow you to teach and supervise at our 8 campuses.

Advantages of the CCO

At the CCO, our program focuses on the essential features of osteopathic manual practice that sets it apart from other forms of manual therapy. The most important of these features is the practitioner’s ability to palpate tissue tension, texture, and subtle motions. Time and instructor feedback are the most crucial elements of one’s palpation development. All of our faculty have been chosen not only for their competencies, education, and expertise, but also because they are passionate about transmitting their knowledge and skill to students. The majority of our teachers have between 5 to 35 years of experience.
